DPA Offers Home Solar Solutions through Partner Banks

We recently announced our partnership with Steward Bank and BancABC for our residential solar solution.  Steward Bank’s Purple Sun Solar Finance Loan together with BancABC’s Loan Facility are innovations aimed at providing solar loan financing to the banks’ customers to power their homes with solar – all the while leveraging on our technical expertise in renewable energy.  DPA is offering residential customers solar systems sized from 1.6kW to 15kW tailored to the home’s power needs.

Zimbabwe, amongst other African nations is currently facing increased load-shedding which is adversely affecting the quality of life of many home owners.  The use of generators as back-up is becoming increasingly expensive, which is why financial institutions are seeing merit in investing in renewable energy solutions for their customers.

The Zimbabwe government is in support of renewable energy adoption, and recently removed import duties on solar-equipment and accessories. The regulator also introduced net metering to allow individuals with solar energy systems to feed back to the national grid, and reduce their power utility bills by earning credits.
